Sensores de flujo por ultrasonidos
Los sensores de flujo ultrasónicos miden la velocidad del fluido usando ondas acústicas. Con la medición ultrasónica del caudal también se pueden determinar la densidad, la temperatura y la viscosidad. Este sensor tiene un transmisor con un receptor opuesto. Mediante la disposición entre los dos puntos de medición se determina la medición de la diferencia de tiempo de tránsito del ultrasonido. La velocidad del flujo se mide con la ayuda de partículas o burbujas de aire en el medio. Una ventaja de estos sensores de caudal es que funcionan sin pérdida de presión en el caudal. El diseño sin contacto asegura que no haya estrechamiento de la sección transversal en la tubería.
