¿Quiénes somos?
leer más Lichthart Co. is a wholesaler for tools used in the bolt fastening industry.
The Company attempts to ensure customer-oriented order handling by tapping into the professional competence and performance of our US partner, Reed-Rico. A modern communication system and a comprehensive warehouse stocking more than 2000 different items ensure the fastest possible execution of any order.
The Company was founded in 1972 by Fritz Lichthart as an industrial procurement agency. The Company’s business seat at the time was in Hagen. In 1976, Horst Opitz entered the Company to continue at the helm initially as a partner and subsequently as a successor to the firm’s founder.
The premises in Hagen soon became too small so that the first relocation was required in 1981. A decision was made in favour of Lüdenscheid. The newly rented premises were located in Ludwigstraße. This allowed easy collection and fast access to tools for a series of local customers.
The tool range on offer was continuously matched to customer needs. However, soon warehouse capacities allowed no further extension while the office premises, too, no longer met the increasing demand for space.
In 1985, Wilfried Lichthart entered the Company. The firm’s founder, Fritz Lichthart, passed away two years later after which management was taken over by Wilfried Lichthart and Horst Opitz.
In 1992, the decision was made to purchase a piece of real estate. Due to its good accessibility to public traffic, the Freisenberg industrial park was selected as the new location. Construction began in 1994 and in June 1995, the Company was able to move into its new domicile at Römerweg 21.
The floor space of 800 sq.m. creates the right conditions to meet customer demands flexibly and in a more personal manner.
Shortly after moving into the new premises, Wilfried Lichthart passed away in October 1995 and Horst Opitz assumed the sole management.
Today, the Company employs 10 qualified employees who give their best to offer customers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands and other European countries optimal service.
